Vacancy - Lay Council member, Head of Patient Experience

Head of Patient Experience

Are you passionate about putting patients and their experiences at the heart of clinical practice? We are looking for a Head of Patient Experience.

The Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists key aim is to achieve statutory registration for clinical physiologists and to improve the quality and safety of patient care.

To achieve this, the voice of the patient needs to be centre stage. As Head of Patient Experience you will be a full Council Member and an ambassador for patient safety, helping to ensure the work of the RCCP is developed with and for patients.

The RCCP has held a voluntary register for practitioners in six disciplines of Clinical Physiology since 2001. These are audiology, cardiac physiology, gastro-intestinal physiology, neurophysiology, respiratory physiology & sleep physiology.

You will play a key role on the Council, ensuring that our work is focused on what matters to patients, and that purely professional concerns do not inappropriately influence decision-making. You will also help provide greater independence and an objective patient perspective for the role carried out by Council. The aim is to ensure the Council is able to reflect the wider views and interests of patients and users of the services. The Council meets four times a year in Lichfield. An honorarium and reasonable expenses will be available.

The role description and person specification can be found here and the application form here.

The deadline for applications is Monday May 29th and interviews will be taking place on Tuesday June 13th in Lichfield.

If you would like an informal discussion about the roles then please email Jessie Cunnett at jessie@patientpublicinvolvement.com or phone directly on 07964 007884.
