Trustees for Scottish Association for Mental Health
Salary: Non-remunerated (expenses paid)
Every day SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) works to make mental health one of the leading causes in Scotland; delivering award winning campaigns, national behaviour change programmes and community support services to over 4,000 people every year across Scotland.
Our Trustees are responsible and accountable for the overall strategic leadership and direction of the organisation and we are seeking to recruit 3 new Trustees who will strengthen and complement our current Trustee Board.
We are looking for individuals who will help us to achieve our ambitious strategic priorities that include early intervention, suicide prevention, children and young people; all underpinned by a determination to end mental health stigma and discrimination.
The ideal candidate will uphold SAMH’s core values that everyone has the right to be treated with dignity, respect and equality; and share our commitment and enthusiasm to progress the work of SAMH to make a lasting impact on the mental health of Scotland.
Applications are welcome from people who have experience of mental health personally and professionally.
Trustees are appointed for a term of 3 years and are eligible to seek nomination to serve a further 3 year term, after which they must retire from the Trustee Board.
