An interesting article by Emma Jacob in the Financial Times underlines the growing recognition of the importance of reinventing the old attitudes to retirment.   It quotes the experience of New Directions, a Boston consultancy on 'second careers', and of the US Encore Fellowship which encourages and supports the 50+ generation to find fulfillment in a new careeer.
